Two hours…

It’s a marathon in some worlds

And a titanic struggle in others.

Yet, an eternity could not separate

These teams from either side of town.

So to penalties they went —

The glitzy new kids on the block

Versus the dogged boys of the south.

And when it was finally over

All that was left was euphoria.
